Wind2 have applied to South Lanarkshire Council for planning permission for Woolfords Wind Turbines

Proposals for Woolfords Wind Turbines have been submitted to South Lanarkshire Council and subsequently validated. This follows community presentations held in Tarbrax Hall by Wind2 members in late November 2021.

The project has offered those closest, within 2.25km, to the wind turbines the opportunity to reduce their energy bills either through a contribution to their electricity bill or by offering home energy efficiency grants as part of a £5,000 per MW community benefit package.

With an installed capacity of up to 20 MW, the project comprises of three wind turbines, each with a maximum blade tip height of 180 metres.
