Welcome to the Woolfords Wind Farm project website.
Woolfords Wind Farm is a three-wind turbine scheme, planned on land approximately 1.6km to the West of the settlement of Woolfords and around 4km north east of Forth in South Lanarkshire, EH55 8LH.
In May 2025, Wind2 received planning approval from South Lanarkshire Council to develop the three turbine wind energy scheme with a maximum tip height of 180m.
Wind2 has subsequently submitted a new planning application seeking permission to increase the tip height to 200m.This change would allow the project greater flexibility in choosing modern, high-efficiency turbine models that are better suited to the site’s wind conditions, helping maximise renewable electricity generation without increasing the number of turbines.
