Project Info
The proposal for the project comprises up to 3 turbines, each with a blade tip height of up to 180 metres, which will have a total installed capacity of up to 20MW.
Detailed visual materials including layouts, photomontages and wireframes have been prepared and will be available to view at public events and through the South Lanarkshire Council Planning Portal, when the planning application is live.
We anticipate that a planning application will be submitted to South Lanarkshire Council in January 2022.
Based on an installed capacity of approx. 20MW, Woolfords Wind Turbines will have the potential to generate around 70,000 megawatt hours (MWh) of electricity annually, sufficient to meet the needs of around 19,500 homes, while offsetting approximately 30,000 tonnes of CO2 per year*.
